Oakland, California native Armand Carr grew up listening to KBLX. As a child, he always had a way with words and a dream of becoming a radio host. Fast forward 17 years and Armand is affectionately known as “The Voice”. After a very successful and impressive radio career in Los Angeles working with notables such as Steve Harvey, MC Lyte, LaLa Anthony and a host of others, Armand decided to continue his career at his home base…The Bay Area. His baritone and rich, silky tone reverberate through our speakers nightly as the voice behind the Quiet Storm on KBLX 102.9. As he narrates his way through your evening with a musical backdrop, listeners are treated to a self-confident, powerful and naturally gifted personality that exudes genuine sincerity with a great sense of humor.

Personal Charitable Cause:

  • Armand has over 17 years of experience in radio as an on-air personality and producer. He is currently the host of The Quiet Storm on KBLX. Armand’s goal is to leave a legacy in his local community that transcends entertainment. As an Oakland native and a father, he has a vested interest in the welfare of our young people. From his passion to impart knowledge, affect change and impact his community, he founded All Tied Up, a non-profit organization dedicated to historically marginalized young men.
