Mary J. Blige is set to receive her very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, in the recording category. Record producer and Rap Mogul/ Businessman, Sean “Diddy” Combs will join Leron Gubler, CEO and Hollywood Chamber president, to present Ms. Blige with the honor and unveil the star plaque. The ceremony takes place January 11, 2018 at 6201 Hollywood Blvd.
This accomplishment comes after recent recognitions for Mary J. Blige’s foray into acting. She recently received nominations for a SAG award and Golden Globe Awards for her acting role and original song in “Mudbound”. Despite a difficult year of divorce battles with her estranged husband, Mary continues to dominate and succeed in both her music and acting work.
The Bronx, NY Native got her start in music at only 18 years old, and has since delivered hit after hit such as “Be Without You”, “Family Affair”, “Real Love”, “I’m Going Down”, “No Matter”, and “Just Fine”.
