The Family That Prays Together

Now more than ever the family structure must be strong. In the past couple of months I went through a very serious health condition, when my doctor first told me about my condition I was like alright God has brought me too far and showed me too much for me to punk out now and I soldiered on however I did think to myself I wonder what my Momma would have said to me about the situation, what would my Daddy have done? It made me think that when I was a child and my parents took me to the dentist who gave me a filling in my cavity it hurt so bad that I cried my Dad was fighting mad, as a great protector he never wanted to see any of his six children in pain or without. With my parents gone I turned to my older Sister Debbie who along with my daughter Sunday and my great friend and sister Rene all came together and took over caring for me as if they were my Mom and Dad, the love, care and protection I was given gave me the security that all families should. Many people including children feel all alone in their situation and it’s up to each family member to check in on one another, make a point to spend time with one another, love on one another and support one another. The old phrase ‘The Family That Prays Together Stays Together’ still holds true and now more than ever we need one another, make time for family.
