This weekend there are four powerful films being released,
- Terminator: Dark Fate, starring Linda Hamilton alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger this film is a part of the famous Terminator franchise and is expected to top the box office because its built up a following over the years people certainly want to see if Arnold ‘I’ll Be Back’ Schwarzenegger still has IT! However as reported after a pre-release tracking the film didn’t seem to have a strong male following
- Arctic Dogs, starring Jeremy Renner, Heidi Klum, James Franco and Anjelica Huston is an animated adventure about a team of ambitious animals and while we love out pets I feel safe in saying that this film not top the box office
- Harriet, starring Cynthia Erivo portrays Harriet Tubman, the slave-turned-abolitionist who led hundreds of enslaved people to freedom on the Underground Railroad. This film is my choice for the biggest box office draw not only because its the story of a true American hero Harriett Tubman, but because it takes place in a time in history that should be documented through film in hopes to start a real dialog that will helps all of heal from the past.
- Motherless Brooklyn, written, directed and starring Edward Norton along with Bruce Willis, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Bobby Cannavale and Alec Baldwin . The film is based on Jonathan Lethem’s novel, Norton portrays a private investigator with Tourette syndrome who works to solve the murder of his mentor. While Norton is one of my favorite actors I don’t perdict that this one will top the box office
