Skydiving. I didn’t expect to go skydiving when I was 20 but it happened. I was working at a different radio station and one of the hosts was a daredevil. This fool would do anything, including riding down a hill in San Francisco inside a shopping cart. The plan was for me to just accompany him and make sure he made it home safe. Well, things changed. We get to Hollister and somehow they convinced me to jump out of a plane. The thing is, I wasn’t scared of the plane. I wasn’t scared of the fall. I was afraid to break my ankles when we landed!
I called my mom and she tried to convince me not to do it. I told her, “This is something I can say I did before I was 21! I love you and I’ll call you when we land.”
We went up. I jumped. I landed. I called mom.
I’ll never do it again!
